Small and powerful
These mini stereos are from around the year 2000, so no Bluetooth or USB functions.
The 3-CD changer tends to break down, and yet they're great for a micro receiver with a good digital tuner, various connection options including subwoofer and digital optical output.
The amp has about twenty watts per channel of clean power, the speakers look good and have a four inch woofer and a crossover network inside the bass reflex cabinet.
One problem is the receiver's memory is lost every time the power gets interrupted, so you need to reset your radio presets and clock.
An effective fix to retain the memory is to connect the receiver's AC plug to a battery back-up, avoiding momentary power loss.Read full review
