Easy to set up and so quiet!
This canister filter was easy to get setup and running. The instructions were pretty good at showing what to do to get it going. The only part that I had a small problem with is getting it to prime right. I pushed in the blue button and got the water going, then turned the filter on like the instructions said, but then the water stopped flowing so instead of shutting it off, I kept pushing the blue button 3 more times until it started suctioning. Presto! I checked for leaks- none. It is so much more quiet than the previous Hang On Back filter this is replacing. I wanted to see how well it shut down for cleaning later on, so I got towels ready for a mess, and unplugged the cord, then pulled up on the "Shutoff Valve" which is the tab that holds down the" inlet and outlet hose adapter, and it came off with minimal mess!! Good filter for the price
I've always used canister filters by one of the top manufacturers, but found this filter to be very good. I did add my own extra polishing pads, and media for my own needs, but it worked great. Kept consistent flow, no leaks, very quiet. The only thing that made me rate 4 instead of 5 was the push primer. It takes a little bit of oomph to keep pressing it down until it's fully primed. Its a very quiet filter, easy to set up and works great. I have it running with a prefilter,so I can have 3 trays of biomedia. The prefilter has my sponge and filter floss. Great Filter!
I just set this filter up for my 75 gallon tank and it is working amazingly! No leaks, and no problems. Only thing is that I want the spray bar lower (since this is a turtle tank) so the water isn’t as loud. It is totally worth the money to buy.

It works!
Because of the low price I was skeptical of the product. I bought it because a relative enoyed theirs.
When it arrived it only took a few moments to asemble, add my own media and install it. The suction was good, the spray bar easy to adjust and the skimmer is a good bonus.
I am a fan. My relative's SunSun is three years old and still working perfectly.
