So far So good
I just installed this kit so i can not speak to longevity. I have used Detroit axle in the past with good success. The bolts were poor quality and we had to reuse the factory. Had an issue with first box being torn and parts missing. Detroit axle sent the missing parts over night to meRead full review...

All the rubber parts and grease fittings
So I had my mechanic put all my parts on. I was so happy to have all new parts up and running. Even bought shocks from Detroit axel. Not even 6 months and all the rubber parts are shot out. The grease fitting leak. Shock rubbers completely smashed and not doing anything but making noise. The only positive is that they are wiling to honor the warranty. Just need a note or letter from my mechanic and pictures of the issues. I got the pictures. Try getting a mechanic to write you a detailed description of the issues. It's been almost to months. I still haven't got it. Called again today. Not gonna matter now in 19 degree snow covered winter anyway. Just hope the warranty are still honored.
Anyway the previous parts (shocks) from Ford were all rusted out and the rubber fittings still were in tact. They worked but they looked awful. All rusted out. Like I said the rubbers and fittings were mostly still good. Except a few. That's why I turned to Detroit axel. I was definitely disappointed this time around! Read full review...

Disappointment Awaits
I bought this for my 2001 F250 in April when I replaced my steering gear box, to have fresh steering components all around. When I first received it I thought that it was good quality only to find out it is not. The package came with a torn grease boot on my drag link which makes me have to re grease it constantly to keep it lubricated. The nuts and bolts have rusted in just 5 months of having this on the truck. The bracket that holds the alignment sleeve also broke one week into driving the truck. The quality of this product is a lot more poor than what I had hoped for. I was very disappointed as I believed Detroit Axle sold quality products. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT AND WILL NOT BE PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM DETROIT AXLE AGAIN. Very disappointed.Read full review...

Item as described, appears to be good heavy construction.
Fit well, everything looked to be of good quality. 1 rod end came without a grease zerk in it, NBD, just drilled and tapped one in. Truck drives good, haven't had the alignment done yet.

Ok if you're short on cash
It's fair to good, will definitely tighten up that sloppy Ford steering, probably made in china, everything is well made except the nuts and bolts. If you're short on cash and need to fix your wandering truck this is the kit.Read full review...
