Great Game

Infamous series was one of my all time favorite games, really recommend. Only thing I didn't like about infamous 2 was the voice of Cole.

Not a great game

Compared to graphics of other PS3 games, this one fall short. The gameplay is OK but not addictive. It’s somewhat cumbersome to manipulate and I had a longer learning curve than any other game that I have tried.Read full review...

Not As Great As the First

I bought this game, because it's the sequel to inFamous and the first one was just awesome.
I played it for about an hour and it seems too much like the first one. Of course I liked the gameplay and everything about the first, but I was hoping for something different.
The story itsself seems to play really quick. It gets quick to the point and I'm already off saving the world.
The animation is quite different from the first one. This is something that I would've liked to stay the same. The graphics seem cheesy and it looks like they had a different change in cast, because it looks so weird.
So far into the game, I can't really say I like something about this game yet. I just look forward to unlocking some cool new powers or something that will keep me playing this game.
I rated this game a 3/5, because it didn't reach my expectations and is average compared to the last one. Hopefully this game can keep me playing to where I can finish the story, because that's the only reason I'm playing it right now.

Infamous2 is an amazing open world action platformer game! Best I've played

I want to start by saying that I played and beat Infamous 1 and the game was awesome. Gameplay-wise Infamous2 is BETTER than the original in every way.

Pros: The graphics in this game are awesome. The game has got a major 1080p face lift since the first Infamous. There are many destructible objects within the game, even some walls. The destructible environments are coupled with good physics. The game has many different kind of enemies with many different ways to dispatching them, and the controls are intuitive and precise. This makes the game truly a blast to play. Your character's (Cole) new powers including object levitation. You can lift a car and toss it at your enemies. You can also use electric whip for a quick lift up to the roof tops. The environments within the game are also more varied than they were in Infamous1, including a swamp, ships and factory (all the environments are connected within one large world allowing you to go back at any time). The boss battles in this game are truly breath taking. At one part you'll get to fight bosses as big as building. The gameplay in Infamous2 is extremely fun. Infamous2 is now one of my favorite PS3 games. Later in the game you can expend your powers by either mixing in flame or ice powers to your electric ones. You'll have to chose one or the other. This makes playing this game twice a must to see all your powers.

Cons: The game's only weakness is the background story. It simply isn't as original as it was in the first Infamous.

Bottom Line: Infamous2 is a pleasure to play. I am a huge fan of this game, it is the best action Platformer out there, period.

Stellar PS3 Action Shooter Game!!!!

This game is one of my favorites. Love the size of the playing field. You find yourself reminiscing when you come back to a rail yard, ghetto, city park, where you've done battle. The effects for me are A+. When your using blasting type shield just to keep them off you while firing several other weapons at the same time running and climbing up buildings or jet pulsing through a graveyard or power sliding across power lines and railroad tracks and them pick up a car and power thrust it at the enemy or a monster. The couple of girl characters are awesome that tempt you towards good or evil. I LOVE THIS GAME!Read full review...

great story/ gameplay, grate price, A++

i bought this item since i got the first one for free from PSN, liked the story and game play, and tough to get this one to continue the story, so far its very good, great graphics and gameplay. The almost half price compared to retail store prices made it even better...

all entertainment companies should RELEARN the meaning of "Affordable product".. that is the real reason people buy used or get pirated ones

feel the energy at your fingertips

The game’s structure is standard but effective: the open world gives waypoints and markers denoting the next objective, which usually consists of tracking down and taking out some number of enemies. The game occasionally shows flairs of creativity in mission design, but in general, combat is the bread-and-butter. These are broken up by one of two types of cutscenes: in-engine, with motion capture tech, or the stylistic comic-book-esque presentations from the original. Both work equally well. While the mission variety and pacing do tend to drag, especially toward the end, the narrative’s conclusion is certainly a compelling enough reason to move forward.

There’s plenty to do outside of the game’s primary missions: over sixty optional missions allow you to regain control over sections of the city, expelling any sort of violent encounter in the area. Hundreds of blast shards hidden around the city offer an increased electrical capacity, “Dead Drops” offer an expanded view of the game’s narrative, and Sucker Punch has thrown in a new wrinkle in the form of UGC, or User Generated Content. Players can construct, albeit with relatively rudimentary tools, custom missions and share them with the world. These require a bit of technical ability, and I’ve yet to see one really blow me away, but it adds a nice additional touch in a world already loaded with nice touches. Even discounting additional content and playing the alternate morality, there’s easily fifteen hours of content.

inFAMOUS 2 is a game that easily improves on its forebear. It’s likely one of the best superhero-sandbox game ever made, and though it has its flaws, the game remains a polished experience from start to finish; “I’m too absurdly powerful” is one criticism that the development team will just have to live with. A graphical powerhouse with gameplay to match, Sucker Punch Productions delivers a fantastic addition to any Playstation 3 owner’s library.

Great game so far!

After playing the first inFAMOUS I had to get the new one. I haven't played it much as I still haven't finished part 1, but so far it looks just as good if not better then the original. The only thing I don't like is the decision to change the voice of Cole. It would have been better if he had the same voice.

You start off with abilities from the first game. It actually imports content when you first start playing and boosts your Karma meter accordingly. That was an unexpected but nice feature.

I will update this review once I have had more time to play the game.

Action packed, great graphics, a winner in my book...

I played the first Infamous and I really enjoyed it. I was greatly awaiting the release of this game and I was not disappointed. This one was really fun to play and full of action. The graphics were excellent, storyline was good and kept me entertained for a long time. This game is very long and has a lot of side mission that you can do while following the main mission. All in all this is one I would definitely recommend. Rating 9/10Read full review...

One of the best games of the year!

inFamous 2 is one of the best game's i've played in a while. I bought it because I played the first game a couple of years back and loved it. I was a bit hesitant about this game because the "swampy" kinda setting that some reviews gave it kind of turned me away. But I gave it the benefit of the doubt, and i'm so glad I did. inFamous 2 expands on the original in every way, both in the variety and the scope of its missions and in the actual gameplay itself. The way Sucker Punch has developed Cole's powers make it feel like Cole is actually controlling lightning. It actually feels like you're playing a superhero (or villain) rather than a random video game character. The story is great and has a few twists that really kept me intrigued. I found this game so hard to put down that I beat it in a matter of a few days. I'd highly recommend this game for anyone that loves action adventure games. This is definitely one of my favorite games this year!!Read full review...
