This GE is quality, through and through. The receiver is plugged into a wall socket, plug lamp into receiver
... then get remote, make sure battery is put in (this came w/ a new one) correctly and BOOM, you're ready. The receiver has a side button to manually turn on/off. To know it is working, an orange lite will appear on front of the receiver. Generally, if lite does not come on, or does not work, the receiver is the problem. Went thru that in the past. Once. This is a keeper for certain. So little work. No rewiring or special apps needed. Battery type is ONE 'CR2032' 3W Lithium. Read full review...

This thing rocks!

I have a corner lamp I wanted to run from across the room and this thing is exactly what I needed.
The control mounts behind a standard switch plate do it looks like a normal wall switch, but no wiring is needed; just plug the lamp in and you’re all set.
