The key thing about this product is its ease of use with the Apple iPad. I can stream music and other items from utube without using the crazy streaming set up on my tv. And bypass the embedded advertisements on my tv software as well. Read full review...

Easy to Set Up
As this was an open box product, I reset it to factory settings first by using the reset button. Then I followed the set-up procedure in the phone app and was able to link to a TV in about 5 minutes. It helps if you already know how to do casting from your laptop to a TV. Otherwise, it may take some time to learn about that end of the link. But the Chromecast device itself worked like a charm. By my getting the 3rd generation of chromecast and using Chrome browser ther is still an issue. While casting. For some unknown reason, chromecast decides to start at the beginning again. This happens when casting a ball game. I have changed power supply, cords and totally reset the unit but it still does the same thing. Otherwise it preforms well.Read full review...
