Comedy dealing with social issues. It stands the test of time.
+Chaplin is Chaplin and Modern Times is a classic movie. The comedy in it often deals with important social issues such as factory work often dehumanizes workers, public officials enforcing laws instead of considering facts about situations. This is a movie with messages as well as humor. The quality of the film is excellent. It does not have the poor images of many early films. It has not suffered deterioration. I am happy that I added Modern Times to my collection of DVDs of early comedies.Read full review
