Great value for money
i wasn't expecting such a solid build. It took me quite a while to flatten the sole but once I've done it and have sharpened the iron, it worked like a charm. If you are prepared to put a little time into this tool, you'll be more than satisfied with your purchase.Read full review...

Needs significant work to (hopefully) make work.
Cheap, and seems sturdy enough.
Problems:
(1) Sole is not flat, but hollowed out at the throat
(2) Blade not ground square, off by about 1 mm, and angle varies across the width
(3) The yoke that moves the blade just barely touches the cap iron, so the depth adjustment doesn't work.
(4) The business end of the cap iron is not beveled, but is 90deg.
(1) and (3) are obviously fixable, and for (2) I'm going to tap in a screw to extend the yoke. It may be the combination of (3) and (4) mean I need to replace the cap iron.Read full review...
