Need to use wired connection to set up, works great with app.

This is an older camera, but you can connect several to the app and no need for a paid subscription for events. One issue is that as of this review, you cannot connect the cameras to your Google Drive. I called Samsung support and they told me the issue should be fixed with a week.

Also do not bother trying to do direct wireless connection. You must connect this item with a wired connection at the router and then you have the option to convert the connection to wireless. It also will check firmware and update when you connect again after setup. These cameras take a couple of minutes to boot up. Don't panic.Read full review

Peace of mind

I wanted some cameras around the house that I could access no matter where I was and had sound. These were a great find as they have night and day viewing, sound, two-way capability, and the cameras require a password which adds to the security of someone hacking your feed. The only things I've been disappointed in are the speakers don't always work so well so when I try to use the two-way function the person in the home can't always hear me so well. But there have been times when they could hear me very well so it could be any number of interferences and I'm still testing it out. The other issue updating the password. You have to log onto the website to change it but do access the website you have to download a plug-in that's required to view video even if that's not what you're wanting to do.

All that to say, the cameras are serving their intended purpose. The price was great and I'm pleased with my purchase.Read full review

Little troubles but great camera

Took a bit to figure out how to set it up, it needed to be factory reset right out of the box and then I had to download an upgrade in the app. Still couldn't do it. Ended up calling the 1-800 number, they got it working within minutes. Night vision works if there is a little light from something but in the storm last night it was pitch black. Great deal for security cams

Bought these "reconditioned" but they seem brand new with the protective plastics still on the lenses. Setup is super easy and they all motion record to free Gmail addresses I made just for each cam. For $100 total I now have 4 cameras all around the house recording motion and noise 24/7 that I can monitor from anywhere LIVE on my phone and PC, with ZERO "monthly" fees like every other security system.Read full review
