Starting up doesn't work well

The game itself works decent. But getting it to even turn on is a challenge. Very annoying and frustrating. Poor quality.

Micro Machines 64 Turbo Review

Remember the days when you would take your little Micro Machines and "drive" them over the table and obstacles and race them together? Well this game is even better than doing that. You choose between several different Micro Machines, all with different attributes, then race them around hilarious surfaces (a pool table, kitchen table, etc).

The game is tough sometimes because what wouldn't be obstacles in real life like a fork, cereal box or an 8 ball are now the things that will make you lose the race if you ram into them. The overhead view is good, but you have to stay on your toes for tight corners, because falling off the table generally means you lose. The cars are very responsive (sometimes too responsive) so you can make quick adjustments as needed. Graphics are standard N64 quality, and there is no lag during quick races. Overall I'd say this game is a good game for playing by yourself or with friends, but it's not mind blowingly popular, even though it should be.

Fast-paced, goofy, addicting multiplayer racing.

Micro Machines 64 is definitely a good multiplayer racing game for the old N64, but don't expect a "real" racing game. Instead it has a quirky but amusing system of keeping all players on one overhead view; when someone falls behind, their car suddenly explodes. The player who most consistently keeps himself from exploding is the winner. The large number of tracks (such as a kitchen table, a backyard, a chemistry lab table, etc) and vehicle types, random power ups you can find, and the bizarre but fun racing mechanics make this a good "party" type game. You'll find it addicting if you don't take it too seriously.Read full review...

Micro Machines

This game is terrible. The game play takes a long time to get used to but even after that your stupid cars are very hard to keep on the track. the only good feature about this game is the fact that you can play 4 players similtaniously.Read full review...

My son had this game years ago and we all loved playing it, so when i saw it on Ebay i bought it great game having lots of fun with it.

eh....rather play mariokart

the controls are a little weird, and the racing is sub-par compared to mariokart or any other n64 game. its fun to have 8 people, but otherwise not a great game.

Micro Machines 64 Turbo

Fun multiplayer, not too competitive.
You can't just blow the other person away.
Great for kids of all ages.
