D'Addario strings make all the difference!
I recently purchased a Gold Tone OM-800+ octave mandolin which came with very heavy strings (16-50) which were difficult to fret. I was starting to think my purchase was a mistake, but I bought a set of D'Addario EJ80 phosphor/bronze strings and the instrument was transformed. The strings have a bright ring and much easier fingering. I rely on D'Addario strings for my guitar, my mandolin, and now the Octave. Always the best strings for the best price!Read full review...

Good set of strings
Good quality strings used for my irish tenor banjo cause the ones made for it by d'addario was very loose when I tuned em up and didn't hold tune from day to the next especially with the d and g strings these sound a lot better hold tuning good for me gave a good mellow/sweet sound to my banjo
