Great shanty band instrument

With the onset of arthritis in my left hand, playimg the guitar was becoming very difficult. I had played an Autoharp back in the sixties when a friend's mum had one.

New Oscar Schmidt autoharp

The old autoharps are excellent in quality, but the new ones of the last two years are cheaply made with plastic parts. Especially bad are the tuning pegs which are nearly impossible to turn using the tuning wrench, and I have bought several. My local music store has stopped selling the newer harps for this reason.
