Works well.

Fit perfectly over the nut on my acoustic guitar. Played with a slide bar, I I felt like I needed to file the saddle flat in order to eliminate the radius and lay the strings out completely level. Optionally amplified with a sound hole pickup, my poor man's dobro is a new jam tool. If you have an extra guitar laying around or one with an already high or unplayable action, here's the answer. Heck, buy a couple for alternative tunings.Read full review...

NUT MOD FOR FUN

Some guitars do not fit this nut well. My MIM Strat allows it to ride tilted toward the body which makes the pre filled string grooves to sit level. This promotes string buzz, but it's cheap and fun to play with. I have found it to play well with Washburns and most acoustics. While it depends on the guitar, it's interesting to play with, worth the investment.Read full review...

Lots of fun

I did need to file a notch on one side to fit around the truss rod cover. It fit fine with the truss rod cover removed on a Les Paul. It was about a 5 minutejob to put a notch in it with a round file. This makes it easy to raise the strings enough to learn to play slide guitar without changinging anything else on the guitar. Loosen the strings, put it on and then tune the guitar. I did sand the edges that touch the guitar to be a little smoother but rsally wasnt necessary.Read full review...

Great Product!

This Grover "Perfect" Guitar Nut has helped to improve my slide playing more than any other single thing since I've been playing slide over the last 45 years and I didn't even know I needed it! Great product, especially for the price!Read full review...

slide guitar nut extention

Great to take a garage sale special and turn it into a Slide or Lap/Dobro style guitar by doing nothing more than loosening and retightening your strings. Great product. Have a Slide guitar without hardly any expense in minutes and have great fun learning Delta Blues and other slide styles. Find out if you really like Slide or Dobro and if the answer is Yes, THEN go drop 4 or 5 Thousand for a Scheerhorn. In the mean time, have a ball with this. Read full review...

Old to New

I have good guitars, but I had an old cheap acoustic laying around with really bad action and not much hope left but to toss it into the trash. Then I found out about this little gadget. It was priced right, so with nothing to lose I bought one. It was so easy to install. I now have an entirely new instrument to have fun with. It's a blast.

If you're curious, don't hesitate. The price is right and it's a great little product.

This device is genius. I have a round neck resonator that i've been wanting to try a raised bridge on. I just loosened the strings and installed it in about one minute. It makes playing slide so enjoyable. I love that it's not permanent in any way, and that I can move it over to my electric or acoustic if I want. To top it all off, the price is a no brainer.Read full review...

simple to use, very little doe

For a couple of dollars you can try out a slide guitar. I have a glass slide so its pretty light. I think you might need a heavier slide in order to work on thicker strings. I use just the top four which is plenty. It took 5 minutes to loosen the strings and slip the nut on. I recorded a little piece and it sounded like the real deal. This is another tool in my recording tool box.Read full review...

of your old nut,....place your New Grover Perfect Nut straight on top of the old nut...slide those rusty old strings straight back into the redi-cut string slots...tune em up and your away laughing..could'nt be any easier

Adds unique, educational and fun dimensions to my playing ability.

I put this little beauty on a project guitar as an experiment: I wanted to see if I could get a steel-guitar sounding result. I was very pleased; hey, it ain't a real lap steelie, but it's as much fun and adds a dimension to my playing ability I wouldn't otherwise enjoy. Plus, sliding around on the strings when you have to go to specific notes helps you learn the fretboard cold, and that's a big deal for anyone who plans to make the guitar a lifelong pursuit.Read full review...
