Been looking for an oilskin hat for a while.
This is the best value that I have found. It is water proof. That's #1. It is made of cotton and has a generous oil-based wax coating that seems to hsvr sastiurated the cotton. No worries, you won't end up with the oil on your head. It has a great shape when new. I'm not sure if it can be re-shaped if it gets crushed. I will check with the manufacturer. For the summer, I will acquire one of the oilskin mesh hats. Guaranteed.Read full review...

Love the hat. Thought I had lost mine. Bought another right away.. good for sun and rain...the brim is big enough to keep rain from going down my neck...without being too big...like the chinstrap as it has saved the hat while boating!!
