This went on very easily. Just pull the knob assembly, add the new plate, and reinstall the knob assembly. The model I bought didn't even require me to remove the latch assembly. Some other styles may require that you remove the latch too. Many different door lock spacings, so make sure you pay attention to what your measurements are before you order.
