I needed this adapter to use in my Sony stereo system. The ipod / iphone docking station was designed up to the iphone 5...I already had the 6 plus and used a patch cord from my phone to the headphone jack to listen to music on my phone...Now that I have the adapter I can get the 7. This adapter does not work with protective cases, you will have to remove the case to use. The connector is very timid while trying to set the phone onto the connector it can bend.
