Excellent home office printer

Excellent entry level home office printer. Easy setup. WiFi connection presented a small challenge but connected after a couple of attempts. Very good print quality. Printer wakes up quickly from sleep mode.

Pictures of the printer does not clearly depict where the paper input is located. The size of the printer gives the illusion that it has an enclosed paper tray. It does not. It has an upright paper holder in the back.

Overall performance and features are excellent for price range. If you can do without an SD card or USB input for direct printing and an internal paper tray, this printer works great.

Great Printer, But

Every aspect of this Epson WorkForce 2630 Printer is outstanding except for one. The capacity of the ink cartridges is miniscule, and I have already spent 4 times the cost of the printer on purchasing ink replacement cartridges (all 4 colors - B,C,M,Y). Epson should consider filling the ink cartridges to their maximum volume and halving the cost of the ink cartridges to make this an affordable printer. Alternatively, they should double (by redesign) the size/volume of the ink cartridges and sell them at the same price. If neither is done, this will be my last Epson Printer.Read full review...

Requires factory origional ink cartridges.

There are no aftermarket ink cartridge refills that work with this printer as of April 2, 2016 so far.

It is easy to use with a Windows 7 or 8 PC, it even works on Windows 10 from what Epson claims yet I have not changed over to Windows 10 so far.

It has networking capabilities and even works with a smart phone, I had the unit for a few days and have had no major trouble with it, my Canon printer died after 9 years of use so this was the replacement, 9 years from a printer is not bad in todays disposable society.

The only cable included with the unit is the AC power cord.

The software CD had to be updated online since the CD is outdated when the unit is bought.

Get the manual for easier set-up

Set-up sheet is not very specific on everything needing to be done to fully set this up. Telling paper size, paper type, etc., is in sub-settings that are not even mentioned on the sheet. Other than that, I haven't found much to complain about. Scanner and copier work well. The ADF function makes it easy to copy or scan when there are more than one page needed for the same file.

I recommend going online and getting the full owner manual.

Great Printer

This printer is great for home use. It scans prints and faxes. It has a separate cartridge for each colour of ink. T is easy to set up and it prints like a dream.

Good, Good!

This machine seems to do everything I want it to do. I am a big fan of the Epson copiers. I've had 3 so far. That has taken me the last 15 years so that ain't bad. The new setup system is a lot easier than the last machine. It is also easy to make changes in density, colors, size, magnification, reduction, etc. I don't have any extra ink for it as of yet and I hope it's not too expensive. Either way it's an excellent Copier, Scanner, Faxer.Read full review...

A confusing exercise

This printer might be a lopadaluza but setting it up is a real pain in the patootie. I will have to seek professional help to complete the set up. There are precious few instructions and explanations. There is no printed manual, although they say there is one on line. The problem is you must follow instructions on the small printer screen as well as the computer screen. When you hit a wall and can't figure something out, you are told to go to the on line manual which means you must leave what you have on the computer moniter and try to find the product's web site. It's nightmare!!!!Read full review...

Home office printer

I like it very much except you can't automatically print 2 sided projects unless you do it manually. My previous Workforce all in one 630 did it automatically and I loved that feature.
You can do it with this model but you have to print all the odd pages then reload them into machine and print even pages.
Fortunately I don't do many objects that are several pages long.
Other than that I like it very well.

Set up confusing

All in all an excellent value, but I found the setup to be a little confusing. I had used an older version of the Epson WorkForce all in one, and the setup seemed easier, so maybe that is why I had a little trouble with this one.Read full review...

Not great, but good.

Set up was easy, but it took a few tries to get the wi-fi going and it does not come with a printer to computer usb cord. The ink runs out FAST, and it's twice the cost of my old Canon printer. I do not think I'd have purchased this printer if I'd known this.Read full review...
