if this doesn't fit hopefully you kept your old base cap from the broken one
The base caps weren't wide enough for either of my standard orange gas cans however I was able to use the base off my broken one w/this one. Hopefully that is helpful to someone. I even measured before and thought the width was right but I was wrong.Read full review...

Worked well, I read and checked can information as noted in add. Add said to measure your can opening it must a certain size. Two of my cans fell into required specks, one did not so it fits two but not the third. So measure and order correctly. Good product if you do your part.Read full review...

A bit flimsy but it works
The price is a bit high for this simple plastic device. That said, it does the job. The tether on the little yellow end cap broke the very first time I unscrewed it.
