Great Camera

This camera is great. One thing I have always disliked about other digital cameras that I've owned it that when you push the button to take a photo, they almost always have some kind of delay. My last camera was a Cannon and sometimes the delay on it was several second. Often times I missed the shot I wanted. Other times everybody in the picture is standing there like a bunch of morons waiting on the camera to do its thing. Not on this one. Push that button and blam...it takes a picture. Mount it to a tripod and set the timer and exposure for an unbelievably detailed digital photo. You can read the labels on things on the other side of the room. The batteries seem to last a long time. I took at least a hundred pictures and some movies on it before having to replace the batteries. The movie quality is great. It's actually so good I turned down the settings on my camera. The movie files were so big I didn't think I needed all that.Read full review...

Disappointed with this camera

This camera is easy to use, but I have two problems with it. 1. On "auto" it does not take very good pictures. They are often out of focus or blurry or the flash did not work correctly. The automatic steady feature does not work well at all. Not taking good pictures is a major problem with a camera, let's face it. 2. The camera will not upload its pictures to my up-to-date Dell desktop computer running Windows 10 using the USB cord. If I use the SIM card, the computer and the Nikon photo management program I downloaded on it, will keep giving me the message, "no image found." The only reason I am keeping the camera is because I can load the pictures from my SIM card onto my new HP laptop computer, but I still have a big problem in that 99% of the pictures are unusable because they are blurry or very poor resolution even though I am using the highest resolution setting. When did Nikon start making junk? I am very disappointed with this camera. I cannot add photos because they will not load onto my new Dell computer that I am using right now.Read full review...

Good Camera for the Money --- Point & Shoot Type

Good:
Easy to operate with one hand (left hand) as I ride along on a MC taking scenic pictures. (not looking at display, just point and shoot).

Double A Rechargeable Battery last a good full day of off and on several hours and 100 or more pictures.

So, understand it is used a lot.

Bad:
The latch on the battery door broke. Lost two batteries (that while riding along on MC as I keep Camera around my neck). So, now I have to tape or use rubber bands to hold the door shut.

The Flash cannot be turned to ON, Just AUTO or OFF. Worse yet is if you turn Flash OFF and then turn camera off and back on, the Flash Setting goes back to AUTO. There are times like in a theater where they don't allow Flash Pictures - so, it's a pain.Read full review...

Surprisingly easy, clear, but a touch slow!

I usually use my Canon, as I love to take more professional shots. I use many diff lenses. I was surprised at this little camera! It is so compact, easy to use, and the picture quality is, unexpectedly good! The setting options are easy to use, and there are quite a few. I only had one problem with this camera, and is the fact that it is slow... Especially between taking photos. However, I will continue to use it, often, and I would recommend it, especially for new photographers, and even us seasoned ones!!!Read full review...

Easy to use and creates great photos!

The Nikon COOLPIX camera does exactly what I hoped for. The size and shape is easy to handle for me; I have arthritis in my hands, so it is easier for me to keep a steady "grasp" on it--Even better than trying to take pictures with my phone! The controls are easy to operate, and the pictures come out very clear, and meet my expectations just fine. I've only used the camera 2x so there's really not much I can say. It takes great picture & it pretty easy to use & all the instructions are online. The greatest little camera

Don't know why Nikon stopped making this, but it's rugged, it works , and doesn't need to be recharged - it uses double AA batteries, easy to replace. It has an SDI chip which is easy to download from, has a zoom, and, oh, did I say it was easy? Yes!Read full review...

OK camera

It takes great pictures outside of things that are not too far away. But when I use it inside with the flash the pictures are blurry more times that clear ones. You must learn to press the button down partway to let if focus then press it down to take the picture. That is hard to do when children arerunning and things are moving.
