I mounted this on the transom plate of my old 50's feathercraft with the screws that were included in the package since my boat has a couple of small leaks that trigger my auto bilge pump pretty regularly. I was concerned that the onboard battery would lose its charge over time especially if I left the boat for an extended period of time and my boat would fill up with water. this product took approximately 4 minutes to set up and attach to the battery posts and transom, then all I did was plug it in every night while the boat was docked. it works like an absolute charm; the battery is fresh and ready for action the next day, regardless of how many times the bilge pump kicks on. this is an excellent made product, easy to use and the price I paid blew every other seller out of the water. Compact & great little charger!

I purchased this for my 2000 15' Voyager bass boat because I was getting tired of dragging out the battery charger every charge. When I was looking I was skeptical because of price, thinking that maybe it's just a cheap charger, but boy I was wrong!! It's a quality made charger and in a superior waterproof casing. I liked the fact that it will light green once fully charged & also that it lights when the battery is critically low. This Gen1 is working perfectly on my Optima Red Top in my 12 year old Expedition! Love that it ONLY charges battery when needed while NEVER overcharging this expensive battery. I have 3 deep cycle batteries and one cranking battery on my boat. I only had a 3 bank charger for the deep cycle batteries and the cranking battery would run low in between fishing trips.
