Excellent product!

The heat-gain in my terrarium is dangerous for my poison dart frogs in the summer, so I sought a cooler option that keeps my plants growing and my frogs comfortable. I found this product, bid on it and received it quickly. It works perfectly for my needs, the heat is negligible and the light is bright. It has an alternative blue light for night lighting that I don't use often, but it does make it possible to see their activities in the evening hours when they try to entice a mate. Provides good light

This is a nice light bar and works well but there is a design flaw that Marineland has since corrected: water gets into the socket where the power cord attaches to the light bar and corrodes the connections. If you buy this light bar, make sure it is the updated version, where the socket is further down the power cord and the part that used to corrode is now permanently attached to the light bar and sealed, thus avoiding this issue. If you get the older version, don't expect it to last more than a year before water damage renders it unusable and potentially an electrical fire hazard.Read full review...

Great light for a bargain price

This light fits the space on my Marineland cover, though it doesn't snap in (almost dumped it in the aquarium the first time I raised the lid, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. . . ) It has 3 rows of LED's-- the original that came with the tank only had 2-- making it even brighter. The real test will be how long it will last, since it's only been a few weeks, but so far, so good!Read full review...

Quality is deplorable
