The Tick Key removes the entire tick, head and all!! If the tick has a good bite on you, a bit of hide/skin may be removed too. That will heal, unlike the possibility of leaving the head in. We live in Michigan and last year we saw some ticks. This year every day that we walk our property we must check for ticks as we've seen at least double and it's only June. Handy Gadget.

I haven't had to use it yet. Next year I'll be back on the Appalachian Trail. It seems that the tick issue has grown on the east coast. I'm hoping I don't have to use it but if I do, i'm prepared!
