Excellent story line. Well worth the trouble to find. Recommended to all.
I bought this novel, The Onion Girl by Charles De Lint because my husband was listening to the book in the audio form. I became intrigued in the story after riding around with him one day.
After getting the book, I read it almost non-stop. I did not have a childhood anywhere like the girls had in the book. I didn't enjoy reading about that, but understood how it shaped the personality of the individuals and gave depth to the story. The ending was good, but not the way I would have done it, but De Lint did a very good job in making this reader aware of child abuse as a world-wide problem in need of being addressed.Read full review...

Another great Charles de Lint book
Great copy. I'm a fan of de Lint's stories. I bought this one as a replacement for a copy that got lost. It is a very nice copy so I'm happy!
