These are great hotplates. I have two of them. I use them for cooking. Nice even heat. No hot spots.

These are great for cooking. I can't say enough good about them. The coils are hidden under a 1/2 inch aluminum plate, so I feel safe. Nothing there to catch anything on fire. The half inch plate makes the heat very even. There are no hot spots to make stuff stick to the pan. These are so much better than your typical Hot Plate bought in a department store.Read full review...
