The costs of living and entertainment

I am a growing fan of this TV series. It entertains me as well as gives me a sense that there is still a chance for a close nit group of no blood related people to fine friendship, love, and loyalty in a world that is on the verge of self destruction. They (The characters) set off feelings in me of the way some things need to be done... There is room for an eye for an eye in the real world... When wronged we need to stand together and say no... We also need to know when to say enough... These guys and gals are not perfect (as none of us are) But they try to do there best for them self’s and the persons around them that they care for... Do what you want, But Not I MY Back Yard... My only fear is that in my not get the watching public and will be pulled for the air... This is a great show, with get gritty characters, and really shows what it my have been like to some extent for our own founding fathers... Thanks for letting me tell it my way... ~Amazing MUST-WATCH series for any motorcycle enthusiast!~

Even though Season 5 just ended tonight on FX, the show is STILL the most BA series on TV!

Created by Kurt Sutter, Sons of Anarchy follows the lives of a gun-dealing motorcycle club in Charming, California. The main character Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) resides as Vice President alongside President Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman). Jax attempts to take control of his life by making decisions that may jeopardize his future with the club, or potentially follow in his deceased father John Tellers' footsteps holding the gavel at the head of the table. Clay's wife Gemma Teller (Katey Sagal) and Jax's best friend Opie Winston (Ryan Hurst) also play amazing roles as the series begins to make the viewer grip their seat! Other characters include:

-Sergeant of Arms Tig Trager (Kim Coates)
-Intelligence Expert 'Juice' (Theo Rossi)
-Secretary 'Bobby Elvis' (Mark Boone Jr.)
-Former IRA 'Chibs' (Tommy Flanagan)
-Prospect 'Half-Sack' (Johnny Lewis)
-First 9 Piney Winston (William Lucking)
-Dr. Knowles (Maggie Siff)
-Among others!!!

This season will have you watching every episode, start to finish, with eyes glued to the screen! It involves all the stereotypical motorcycle club aspects such as sex, drugs, gear-heads, rival gangs, betrayal, murder, prison and more! One can only predict this show will live in infamy amongst motorcycle screenplays such as Easy Rider and Hells Angels on Wheels.

Fun facts about SOA:

-The creator, Kurt Sutter, portrays a character in the series known as Otto Delaney.
-Kurt Sutter's wife is actress Katey Sagal, who also portrays a character in the series.
-Known members of the infamous REAL MOTORCYCLE CLUB Hells Angels portray characters in this wild show such as:

~Legendary Sonny Barger: Founding member of the Oakland Chapter. Portrays Lenny 'The Pimp'.
~Actor Chuck Zito: Former President of the New York Chapter. Portrays a Nomad.
~David LaBrava: Portrays character 'Happy'.
~Rusty Coones: Founder of the Orange County Chapter. His band Attika7 has contributed songs to the show. His custom bike shop has also built motorcycles for creator, Kurt Sutter.

I am personally addicted to this show! The entire outlaw biker community is fascinating. I find it very interesting to know that the creator, Kurt Sutter, spent time with the Hells Angels (Likely why so many members portray characters) to get ideas and details for this show.

If you're a typical motorcycle enthusiast, 13%er, 2%er, Hardcore 1%er, or just Average Joe looking to watch an amazing show then you will become enthralled in Sons of Anarchy!

Don't have to be a biker to appreciate SAMCRO

Actually, if you are a biker - regardless of riding style or brand preference - you might be a little disappointed in not only the lack of bike footage, but the rather bland bikes they chose to let these guys ride. The focus is clearly on the storyline, and the lifestyle.

SoA season 1 certainly comes out swinging, hitting all the big, obvious touchstones of the 1%ers life, all the while looking deeper into the personal relationships and the souls of the characters (specifically Jax, the main character). Having seen season 2 as it was aired, I can tell you it only gets better. There are characters you love to hate, characters you hate to love, and yet somehow - the whole family dysfunction just keeps on working. Because it's really about family, as well as a brotherhood - as well as the ideals and demons that one has to wrestle with just to get along in the life.

And just to show it's not about the bikes, I have a couple Ducatis in my garage and wouldn't take a Harley if you gave me one - but it's a good watch, as long as you don't mind a little violence & language, some nekkidness, and Hollywood's view of what 'the life' might entail. ;)

I don't own any other TV shows on DVD, but I'll pick these up. Can't wait for season 3!

excellent!

We enjoy motorcycle shows of all types. Sons does a good jobs highlighting the bikes. At times some bike shows use tons of time on the people forgetting why we are watching. It's the bike content that most pleases us.
Living in the northest our bike season is too short, we find in mid winter a DVD like the SONS or a show DVD (ie Laconia, etc) helps us to get to spring riding.
Sons of Anarchy does a nice job covering the bikes and providing us with a wonderful story line. We are looking forward to next season.
Thank you.

Love It!

I actually bought this movie for my husband. He is originally from Nevada and has a true love for "his" harley. At first, I took this to be no more than another guy movie but I actually have enjoyed it. It has given me a little ensight and respect for a lifestyle unknown to me. It is a great cast. Anyone remember "Peg" from Married with Children? Well, she plays a very impressive role as the club mother. She is classy, sassy, and strong. I definitely recommend buying for your guy and take the time to watch it with him. It may be from a guys perspective but there is a lot of truth and reality to be gained. Hope Season 2 comes out soon.Read full review...

Sons of Anarchy

I loved it and watch it over and over again. I keeps me very interested and I love the characters and the challenges that they face. I love the fights and the big, bad, mean biker scene. I think that Jacks is awesome and Jemma is also great in Sons and love watching her in here rather than the Bundy's. This role fits her much better. I decided to buy it because I started watching it on FX a little late and wanted to see the beginning.Read full review...
