Great Little phone if you have tiny fingers

Replacement for my Note2, damaged and awaiting new one, so this iPhone was my affordable replacement. Easy to set up and operate. Camera is decent. Dislike no SIM card for storage but like you do have cloud backup for pic easy to transfer to other devices land backup. Dislike small screen keys making many typo during email & text. Like: sleek design, easy to operate and locate frequently used apps. Dislike loudness of external speaker. Like speed of processor and limited Bloatwear.

Only reason not 5 stars is: battery life and can't make keyboard larger. It's a great little phone. Will be my sons birthday gift thus summer and my backup phone until then.

Decent low-cost entry into ios as a barcode scanner

This is a great slide-on accessory for an iphone.
Sadly, the cradle input (micro-USB) can only charge the cradle battery. Running both it and the iphone seems to overload it, with an audible protest from the cradle. This means that for charging, the phone must slide out a bit and then get plugged in to old-style iphone cable. This is very disappointing. Good enough for this one-off application, but I would not base a rigorous production environment around a setup with this type of limitation.

Second limitation is that the best app accessories for the linea scanner technology are, well, too new. They all require an iOS version that is higher than the ver.7 limit of the iphone 4. Thankfully we found one scan app that is basically a simple browser with access to the scanner. So, if you have a web app needing scanner functionality, you have one option at least.

Bottom line...I am happy with this combo only because it came at such a low cost.

The iPhone 4S -- Great phone, Low Cost!

Love the 4S because it has Siri, FaceTime, decent sound quality, camera, and phone service. The battery is easy to replace at $8 if you do it yourself. Still a solid investment for the price. Got one for my teen.Read full review...

Review iPhone 4s

The most advanced iPhone yet
The iPhone 4S is the latest cell phone from the apple company. Apple was set to release the iPhone 5, but released the 4S instead. The iPhone 4S is a newer and more up to date version of the iPhone 4. It contains many of the features that the 4 does, but has a little extra involved. The two phones look exactly identical on the outside, but although they may look the same, there are a few new things that distinguish the iPhone 4S from the iPhone 4.
One of the new features on the iPhone 4S is an updated camera. The camera on this phone is an eight mega pixel camera. It has new tools and features such as: a cropping feature, a rotating feature, enhanced photo quality, and the ability to remove the red-eye effect from a photo. The camera on the iPhone 4S also has a backside illumination sensor, which is better for taking photos in areas with lower lighting. It also comes with an image stabilization feature and the ability to record full videos with 1080p resolution, which is a very high resolution. The camera on the iPhone 4S is a rather nice upgrade from the iPhone 4.
Another feature on the iPhone 4S that is different from the iPhone 4 is Siri integration. Siri is basically like a personal assistant on your phone. With the push of a button, you can ask Siri anything that you would like to know and the answer will be provided either directly from it, or you will be directed to an internet site that should provide the answer that you are looking for. For example: If you would like to know the weather in Evansville, IN, you could simply say "Evansville weather." Once that is said, the weather for that city will be displayed within a matter of five seconds. It is a rather unique and one of a kind app.
There are some applications that are the same on the iPhone 4S as they were on the iPhone 4 such as: the weather app, YouTube, videos, stocks, and maps. These apps are all also very useful, especially the map app. I have been lost a few times and I simply just typed in where I wanted to go, and the map gave me turn by turn directions. It really comes in handy.
The iPhone 4S is a fast and intuitive phone. It will be very beneficial to any and everyone who purchases it. It does just about anything you could as for in a phone. The iPhone 4S is a very fast phone that can do things that range from telling you the weather, to giving you precise directions, to capturing precious moments on the camera. Anyone looking to purchase a great quality phone, this would be the one to get. I made the decision to get this phone towards the end of 2011, and have not had any regrets about it at all. This is the ideal phone on the market right now. It is fast, presentable, and does everything that I need in a phone.

Great phone to own, they should make the new one more like this

I hate all the new iPhones in comparison to this classic. It's the best size and still looks just as good as the new phones but a much better size (it's not tablet sized). I can use the phone with one hand easy, I'm a small women who can't fit a tablet sized phone in one hand or a jean pocket. The next iPhone should come in this size, I would actually upgrade:)Read full review...

For someone who wants a feature-filled phone to bring to "Ting", stop here!

So, this was my *first* iPhone (yes, I know -- and I can hear you all sniggering away). I held on to my Palm Centro for longer than was necessary, perhaps, but I loved that li'l guy.

I probably would *still* be using my Palm Centro -- if it wasn't for the minimal plan options available to me from my previous service provider. I was already off contract, and unless I could get a really good deal, I wasn't anxious to start up a new 2-year commitment.

I had since found out about "Ting" (a *great* no-contract service provider), who also had a "bring your own device" option. However, they did *not* support the Palm Centro. As a result, I set out on a mission to find a suitable replacement.

I've had the iPhone 4S for a little over a month now -- and I don't know why I waited so long. Long story short, I now look at my Centro and see a hockey puck. The iPhone 4S has been a feature-filled and robust performer with "no hitches in its git-along". I haven't even bothered to converse with "Siri" as of yet (being a little old school, I freely admit), but I've been loading it up with music and music apps to my heart's content. It has yet to freeze up or need a "restart" -- and with "Ting", I've been able to cut my bill by about 30%, albeit with more talk, text, and data than I ever dared to use before.

I know that this review is as much about "Ting" as it is the iPhone 4S, but it was its compatibility with their service that ultimately swayed my decision.

I'm never looking back. ;)

Great product and excellent way to manage music, apps and alot more!

The iphone 4s is an amazing and great product from Apple. I love the features, style and look of this generation iphone period! I really use it for mostly music, wifi calling, apps and plenty of other features that are offered. I do wish the music had an equalizer other than the one offered, but the quality and organization from itunes is well done just the same. This is my first iphone to buy so the only thing I can compare it to is the itouch and other ipods that I have gone through in the past. All of Apples products have amazing me in ways, but the iphone is by far the best handy device I have had yet and I am very pleased all in all.Read full review...

Great Phone for work and pleasure.

Made the switch over from HTC EVO, will never look back. Better battery life than the EVO can make it a whole day emailing, texting and calls. I also like the size, the EVO had a nice screen, but was big, iPhone fits in your hand properly.

Imessage is great two for messaging freinds and family all over the world.

One thing I do miss is the flexibility of the EVO to set up displays and widgets.

Overall a very good phone and I'm happy with my purchase

Except for Siri, I don't get it.

I purchased the iPhone out of pure curiosity. After all is said and done.....I don't get it. I can't load music, documents, or photos onto it without Apple sticking their hand in it. It's fragile. It's expensive. It's tiny. The puny battery can't be pulled. Yet every other person walking down the street has an iPhone. It's the marketing and hype power of Apple that keeps this thing popular. If you haven't used another system, like Android or RIM, you have nothing to compare the iPhone to but if you have........ the iPhone becomes laughable. It really can't compete with Android in any way whatsoever and if you are coming from Android or even Blackberry, you will be amazed at how useless the iPhone is. I used it for a good month and had to go back to Android in order to get anything other than phone calls accomplished. I found Siri to be the only real positive and outstanding feature the iPhone has. I don't get the rest of the hype.Read full review...

Great value

This phone is a little on the heavy side, which happens when one buys an older device. Other than that, I think it is great! Fast speed and all the apps that make Apples great.
