I am a praplagic and I have had these units before they ran constantly for 2 years then the pumps went bad. The alternating pressure of the matteress has helped me with a pressure ulcer that I had which is now gone. Not what I thought I was getting

I ordered this to relieve sciatic/sacroiliac pain when turning over in bed. I ended up returning it because the fixed pressure pump kept it too firm/hard. It actually caused pain when the raised bubble areas of the pad got too hard. I did not realize the "alternating pressure pump and pad system" could have either a variable pressure or fixed pressure pump. I then purchased the variable pressure pump instead, which has greatly alleviated my hip/joint pain when turning over in bed.Read full review...
