Yaesu/Vertex MH48A6J Microphone cable for FT1500-FT2600
The microphone cord for my older Yaesu FT2600 was falling apart, the outer shield was splitting and the individual wires exposed. Rather than replace the entire unit, I found this cable replacement for the Yaesu MH48 which was less expensive and very easy to install. There are a couple U-Tube videos with simple instructions. Only requires a small Phillips screwdriver and attention to what you are doing. Took me about 10 minutes to complete the task.Read full review...

Hi everybody, The was shipped fast and came in a bubble pack. The cable seems to be near original quality and was "plug and play"to the mic. I have tested two radios with the mic and all seems well. I guess it will take several months or even years to have a complete report.

I was able to easily install the cable to the microphone. The connector that is on the microphone end of the cable is designed so it can only be installed the correct way. There were warnings on the internet that it could be installed reversed. That must have been an older design. Looks good and worked first time.

These cords were a quick and easy install. I think the part of the install that took the most time was removing and replacing the screws on the microphone. I bought 2 of these since I have 2 radios.
