"Bird Angry"

The original Tonto (Jay Silverheels) would be unhappy with the headdress Depp created, but as you watch the movie, it becomes part of the fun. Depp & Hammer are a great pair & seemingly "bounced off each other". The movie tends to drag at times, but after watching the blooper first before the movie, you get a great laugh from knowing what went on during the filming. Great cast, excellent special effects & better than a "Lone Ranger Purist" would expect.Read full review...

They Slaughtered the Lone Legacy

When this movie was released everyone said it was awful and Ididnt see it. I decided to buy it and watch it and everyone was right-it was terrible. Yes, there was some funny parts, but Tonto was a deranged freak. And both the Lone Ranger and Tonto were dysfunctional towards each other. 'Nuff said!Read full review...

More than expected

I'm a long time fan of The Lone Ranger. I grew up watching Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels portray the "masked man and his trusty Indian sidekick" Saturday mornings on TV back in New York. When a new version was produced back in 1981 (The Legend of the Lone Ranger) with Klinton Spilsbury - who never appeared in another motion picture, as the Ranger and Michael Horse as Tonto (Which means Wild One), I was disappointed as many others as to the poor quality of the film overall. Therefore, I had doubts about this new version with Johnny Depp. With Disney behind it and Depp's successes with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise I, as well as many, felt this would be a "westernized" version of Capt. Jack. The movie trailers and marketing approach taken by Disney sort of "confirmed" that assumption. However, after watching this movie I can say that in general it is a very good, entertaining movie. I really liked the use of Tonto in his later years recounting to a young boy at a County Fair his exploits with the masked man and the use of flashbacks to tell the story. There is some very good acting in this picture and although slight "traces" of Captain Jack come through in Depp's performance, for the most part he is a credible "Tonto". My only peeve about this film is John Reid being portrayed as a sometime fumbling "Dudley Do Right" and how the character of Tonto outshines him. This is the same formula used for the last version of the Green Lantern which was another box office miss. That being said, get this movie. It is enjoyable, entertaining experience and, at the end of the day, all that matters. BTW, Kemo sabe means "Faithful Friend" according to Clayton Moore, or "Trusty Scout" according to Jay Silverheels in different interviews at different times. So "Hi-Yo Silver"!!!Read full review...

Best Lone Ranger Movie Ever

The story was exciting and kept me engaged from beginning to end. Great comedy coming with the action. Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer were both excellent in their roles.

"WHO WAS THAT MASKED MAN THAT MADE DISNEY SOME MONEY?"...

I always loved the Lone Ranger, especially since the classic character is loosely based on the African-American legendary real-life western hero and lawman, Bass Reeves. This movie was very fun to watch. Loved the direction that Disney took with the character. Just wished that there was less Tonto and more screen time given to The Lone Ranger. Really hoping for a sequel someday. A cool movie.Read full review...

Mystery Alaska did not work. Lone Ranger worked great!!!

All of the movies I've ordered from you have been great, but "Mystic, Alaska." It came from Australia and won't play. It says it's the wrong area. Apparently their set up is different. Could I get another one from the U.S. that works?!?!?Read full review...

The Lone Ranger DVD We originally went to this movie together. Must own.

This would be very confusing to the very young and not appropriate for them. It is really funny and imaginative for the older ones and we loved it. :D Had to own this one.

Stupid garbage

Too weird and unreal. Horse running on top of a rolling train??? Made me think of sci-fy. Director must have been high drunk or nuts! Total waste of time. No real Lone Ranger fan could possibly enjoy this mess!Read full review...

Avg. Story but Good humor

I'm not sure this movie would of survived if not for Johnny Depp doing what he does best, I enjoyed watching this movie a couple times. Sometimes the story was a little flat but was saved by a good ending.Read full review...

Did not expect the story to be as such with the title of Lone Ranger. I remember the old Lone Ranger.

The story is good, its funny, what the writer did to express the story, I enjoyed very much. Johnny Depp acting was outstanding.
