A beautiful model with good mechanicals but a sound decoder with significant limitations.
Great detail, smooth mechanism, sounds are loud and rich. Main problem is the limited functionality of the Paragon 4 decoder.. It doesn't have a brake. The headlight is too bright, you can change the brightness when dimmed but not the regular "on" brightness. According to BLI they are working on a brake for the next iteration of the Paragon decoder. The default settings for sounds were too loud and the chuff rate was way too slow (and the online manual does not tell you how to adjust it). You have to search various forums to find out how to adjust chuff rate. I believe you set CV246=64, then the CV 220 becomes available to change the chuff rate, lower values are faster. The decoder's memory is filled with useless noises like farm sounds, sawmill, city, modern era radio chatter, etc. and they claim they can't put in more choices for whistles, bells, pumps etc. because of the lack of memory.
So, in summary, a beautiful model with good mechanicals but a sound decoder with significant limitations-I don't think this one came as a "stealth" version but that is what I would go for if I could and put in an ESU or Tsunami 2.

Really Nice Y6B and Pulls Great
This is a really nice loco with great pulling power. The only think I don't like is the inability to modify some of the sound effects.
