Excellent!

Coming straight off The Sims Bustin' Out (GBA), I was very pleased in the leap in graphics quality from that game to the Urbs (GBA).
It took a short while to get the hang of manoeuvering my character around and attending to their needs, but it is not difficult. You are immediately thrown into what turns out to be a very long and excellent story line that will take you an age and a half to complete, so you are certainly getting your money's worth in gameplay time.

After getting out of jail you have access to the first of three large neighborhoods, each with their own unique style, atmosphere and music. In each neighborhood you have the choice of renting two houses. So once all neighborhoods are unlocked you have a total of six houses to choose between for your home. This is a vast improvement over Bustin' Out where you had no choice in where to live.

There is never a dull moment and many, many places to explore. I particularly liked being able to change the colour of most of my furniture with the right button. I loved that the game allows you to continue to play after the main storyline is finished.

Most of the 'jobs' didn't pay well enough I thought and I didn't find them all that fun. The Hoops and the Motocross ones were pretty good and with the Hoops especially you can make money fast.

Communication with other Sims has improved and is very easy to catch on quickly. Once you have the hang of it, it becomes a question of remembering what topics each particular NPC doesn't like and what they do like. Something that becomes challenging the more friends you have.

This is still a Sims game, don't expect any fighting or violence beyond being shoved off the edge of a dock. IT plays like a basic Sims game with a long quest.

There were a few things that were rather annoying:

You are limited by a 'fire code' in how many items you can furnish your home with. Usually it is not enough to completely furnish all areas comfortably.
My character's needs went down way too quickly, I thought. It got frustrating.
Items in my home broke far too often. An item would just have been fixed and immediately it breaks again. This happened constantly.

Overall this is a well rounded game that, while it bears little resemblance to the regular Sims games, especially as you cannot build your own houses, it stands out on it's own. There are extras that make it worth playing even after the main quest is done and extra quests are done, such as carving, baking, the carnival etc

My overall personal opinion is that The Urbs: Sims in the City is an outstanding game and well worth the money.

Takes A Little To Get Use To

I really love this game but when I first started playing it I was very fustrated. You are basically stuck in a building until you complete a handfull of tasks then you get kicked out and don't see that building again for awhile.

I love all the different hidden codes and items throughout the game. It is like the PC game in a few ways. You have a home you have to decorate and you build body skills, etc. You also have to make friends and keep your person happy. You get to pick what your person looks like and there name also. Its different in that you are in a "Group". Like you might be a nerd or richie (4 groups total). You have more restrictions on where you can go. You can find items in bushes or grass also.

It's really a fun game and if you like the Sims on PC I would suggest you try this out. Once you get use to the differences in the two games it really is a fun game and you never know what cheats you might find along the way.

Urbz Sims in the City is the best SIMS game for gba!

Urbz Sims in the City is the best SIMS game for the gba. Other sims game that came out for the gba like Bustin Out, Sims 2, Sims 2 Pets, can't compare at all w/ this one. This game is great in everyway. It could be difficult at times and annoying to satisfy your sims needs, but there are boosters for your sim so that it doesn't have to go to restroom that much or doesn't need to take a shower that often and stuff like that. So many way to customize your crib. There are variety of skills for your sim that you need to get and different rep as well. I really enjoy this game and I recommend this to any sims fan.Read full review...

URBS - This is a fun game if you don't mind the time

A fun game for a novice gamer and nothing too difficult in learning the mini-games and how to build your relationships in order to earn "beads" which allow you to get special powers, etc. The only complaint I have is that you can continue earning beads long after the game stops allowing you to use them. The game tells you that you can only use them in "multiplayer" mode but I haven't quite figured out how to unlock the beads I've earned or how to share them when playing with other people. (I have over 30 beads and it only takes 3 to spend at Club Xizzle to get things you need) It would be nice to have "help" tips somewhere in the game menu. Otherwise, alot of fun and quite addictive.Read full review...

Awesome Game.

First of all the delivery on this game was here in a blink of eye. The game it's self has cool graphics and is very similar to the gamecube version. This game is even alittle hard then Sims for gamecube but games are ment to be a challenge. If your a sims fan then this game should be added to your collection.Read full review...
