Soul-stirrer, if you please!

What a terrific remembrance recording! That is, I bought a 45rpm of Battle Hymn of the Republic when it was a current hit back in the Nifty Fifties. My acne-scarred soul was aroused by it then, and it still is. In retrospect, renaming Ave Maria is a turn-off, but most of the tunes are just great, Standards that most of them all are. Broadway tunes from a Mormon choir, you may wonder? They stand up well. Hats off to the arrangers and conductors!Read full review...

Magnificent CD

I am listening to this CD as I write this. I play it often. The voices of the Morman tabernacle Choir cannot be beat. What I like about it most is that the songs are sung as they were originally produced, not somebody else's version.
