The Many Adventures Of Winnie the Pooh - family classic

My husband sought this movie out for our two year old daughter, having enjoyed it as a child. She quickly fell in love with Pooh and company and we checked a copy out of the library numerous times before we decided that it would be easiest to buy a copy for ourselves. The classic Disney hand-drawn animation and outstanding vocal performances are enthralling and gentle on the senses even after repeated viewings. The story is comprised of several smaller vignettes that were originally released as shorts in the 60s, but eventually compiled to create a feature length film. Each short story segues seamlessly into the next, yet the fact that they are vignettes is great when you need to find a "stopping point" somewhere in the middle (for example when it's bedtime/naptime, etc). There are a couple of places where the story might be frightening to young children; one scene where Pooh has a nightmare and one when Rabbit gets lost in the woods. But both of these are kept as lighthearted as possible and provide an opportunity to discuss reality vs. imagination with your child (for example, I pointed out that the noises frightening Rabbit were actually being made by crickets and frogs, and it was only his imagination that was making them out to be a threat). In fact, all of the storylines provide great opportunities for discussion about behavior and relationships without being preachy or overly moralistic. It's a wonderful tribute to childhood and friendship, and is faithful in character and tone to the original books. My daughter is now three and still adores it.Read full review...

Can't go wrong with Winnie the Pooh

this is a movie that I remember as a child, I also had the old LP and I played it a lot. As I got older I recieved a gift set of the Winnie the Pooh books and I collected Winnie the Pooh pet rocks that was sold at my grade school.

When this was released in '96 it brought back a lot of memories for me growing up, now that I'm a mom I'm trying to share these stories/memories with my son. With him being 6 months old he acts like Tigger... he loves to bounce/jump and can't get enough of it, he's my little Tigger. If you have small ones even as young as my son this is a movie to get them, even if you could find the Winnie the Pooh books its a great thing for kids to hear the stories and see the movie. If you like Disney, this is one to add to your collection and to be treasured for all time.

VHS- Classic Pooh

I purchased the The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (VHS, 1996), a compilation of featurettes of Pooh Bear. This long feature first released in 1977, starts with a great introduction and history of A.A. Milne and the original stories. These are spectacular stories to share with youngsters. Sebastian Cabot as narrator, wonderful songs, sweet characters, it is no wonder why these stories stay in the spotlight over the years.Read full review...

The movie itself was really good but when the package arrived the clamshell case had slight damage in a couple spots.

Go get in the honey pot!

I think this ride is one of the best at the Magic Kingdom in terms of being enjoyable for the whole family. It won’t thrill you like Space Mountain, but it is a pleasant experience. Kids will love the bright atmosphere and adorable characters, and adults will be familiar with the stories from the books and videos. The ride is very well done and there is a lot to look at. Be sure to stop by the Hundred Acre Woods on your next Disney visit!Read full review...

The video tape plays as if it was bought at the store.

I bought the video called "The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh" for my 15 month old daughter. I like Winnie the Pooh and she likes him too. I was impressed to see that they tape was in excellent condition and that the tape still played to be 10 years old. I believe that you have to be a kid in order to raise a kid so yes i am a kid at heart because I still watch Winnie the Pooh and other cartoons.Read full review...

My daughter loves it as much as I did

The classic Winnie the Pooh is still a winner. My 2 and 1/2 year old simply loves the stories we read together, and now she enjoys watching them in the video. It's a refreshing change from the fast-paced, super-colored, LOUD cartoons of today. And the songs are unforgettable; we sing them together nearly every day.Read full review...

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

I love everything Winnie the Pooh for my 3 year old. This was the classic pooh, so it didn't keep his attention quite as much as the modern Pooh shows. It was still really cute and fun to see the classic style - for me anyway. A good addition to a video collection. VHS obviously made it a deal to purchase too.Read full review...
