King Rockabilly -Various Artist CD 2001
You know, when I think of King records, I think of R&B. This CD is far from it. What a collection of Rockabilly rockers in one CD. The main reason I bought this, was because it had Bob and Lucille's rocker in Eeny Meeny Miney Moe. A very difficult gem to find. The first 4 selections really do rock, then it swings towards a good country sound, then there's a Elvis sounds-a-like tune in Pony Tail Partner by Bing Day, Rusty York does a really fine job and rocks with Tremblin',and also a Big Bopper style tune in Your Kind of Lovin and other great numbers by Moon Mullican and the re-start in the studio number, of Charlie Feathers, gives you that (being there feeling). From 1 to 5 stars I rate this an 4. What also impressed me was the great sound quality of the recordings, some in Stereo! Overall a Great Find!Read full review...
