Why the original Bond series had to end.

As a lifelong fan of the Bond movies I was dismayed by this entry in the saga. The movie plays on the usual meglamaniac from a communist country devising a space laser that can destroy NATO. The whole premise has been played out too many times over the years in Bond and much better than in this episode.

The whole movie is reliant on so many cheesy unbelievable gadgets like an invisible car (let's leave this kind of stuff for Harry Potter) that finally the gadgets truly take over the plot.

Some may sneer at the change of pace in Casino Royale but after this movie it was the only way to save the franchise.

For me one of the most ridiculus moments is when Bond steals a jet powered ice sled and despite parts being torn of like the stabilizers, it never rolls over, explodes or vears off course even surviving crashing down against a cliff face.

Another good Action packed Bond Flick I say good bacause the older James Bond Flicks have more heart in the scripts and acting not just all out try to blow stuff up for the whole movie. I am a bond fan well with the bond series continuing for so long i guess you cant have them all perfect or can you? This one has awesome gadgets and Hot women as always. worst bond movie ever, by far!!

I bought it because I always liked Pierce Brosnan as James Bond and this was the only one that I had not seen.

I was extremely disappointed.

Halle Berry is easily the worst bond girl ever. HORRIBLE ACTING on her part. The other bond girl, although not quite a bond girl, was much better than Halle was.

It is clear why the 007 franchise made a major change after this installment in the story.

The movie was not put together very well and it did not seem as though much thought went into anything. Nothing was a surprise and even the action scenes were lacking.

I love the 007 movies, but this one will not be watched again.

The absolute worst part of the movies are, not only every scene that Halle Berry speaks, but the ridiculously stupid romantic banter right before bond gets laid. dumb!Read full review...

Good but far from classic...

This movie is by far the weakest of all 21 (soon to be 22) Bond movies out there. The only thing that compares to it is possible On Her Majesty's Secret Service with one-time Bond man George Lazenby.

There is just too much action here and too many dramatic special effects. The movie is too far fetched and should have been made more traditional and low-key. Halle Berry is also nothing special here. She does a mediocre job. The only thing that saves this film is Brosnan. He is actually very good. Thank the lord they didn't repeat this style of Bond movie with Casino Royale.

This movie is for serious Bond collectors only. (which is why I bought it). If you just want to see the movie, my suggestion would be to rent it or wait for it On Demand or on cable.Read full review...

Die another day

It was a few entertaining Bond movie. Halle Berry as Jinx Johnson was a very good Bond girl, so was the beautiful Rosamund Pike as agent Miranda Frost. The billionaire villain Gustav Graves was an excellent adversary for Bond. John Cleesa was great as R the replacement for Q but Q will be missed. Great car chases and fights with an amazing ending.
