Her Best

Streisand gives he best performance in this overlooked flick. It's lower budget than what one would exxpect to find but well done. Sound is a tad low, picture a bit grainy but nothing to worry about.

A Different Direction, But Still Classic Babs

Most people who see this film will see it as a departure from Barbra Streisand's most memorable films, which tend to be musicals. Nonetheless, here delivery in this movie is no less as exceptional as in those others. I first saw this movie as a child and simply bought it to have as part of my collection. Now being older and watching the movie again, I realize the historical context and relevance of the movie, especially during the time it premiered. All in all, a good watch. Not my favorite of Babs' films, but a goodie nonetheless!Read full review...

One of Barbra's strongest performances! (Besides Nuts and Yentl that is)

Upon rewatching this film I have to say that I LOVED it! And, with the exception of the wierd ending typical of that generation, I have to say it is now one of my FAVORITE Barbra movies! Up The Sandbox mixes equal parts humor, anger and just plain wierdness in PERFECT harmony!! A TRUE Barbra fan or feminist, LOL, would LOVE this movie! I certainly found it appealing! LOVE BARBRA, LOVE UP THE SANDBOX!! GREAT FLICK!!Read full review...

Interesting Movie

This was an interesting movie. I got if for a gift for my sister for Christmas but she found it early. It was definitely not the typical movie. I'm not sure I loved it, especially not in comparison with other Barbra Streisand movies but it was alright.Read full review...

Up the Sandbox

I did not like the role Barbara Streisand played in this movie. The identity crisis she encountered in this movie did not fit Barbara, in my opinion. I did not find it a bit entertaining.
