Good Fast Pace Mecha

Very fun fast pace mecha game, my favorite game under the Konami brand. This game plays like a amped up version of Cyber Troopers Virtual On with a single player campaign mode. This was meant to be just a game to hold people for Metal Gear Solid 2, but i found this game to much more fun then MGS2. Pick up if you can get it for nice cheap deal.Read full review...

Zone of the Enders 1

A solid, action-packed start to the series. Controls are simple and very easy to learn. Gameplay is fast-paced with brief breaks at good intervals, though the same three enemies get old after a while. This is recitified by the short length of the game itself, which though almost disappointingly short itself acts as a fair opening to the series that transitions well into the second game without leaving an extremely irritating cliffhanger or obscure dangling story threads.

Definitely recommended to those seeking to buy the whole series, but as a stand alone it's too short. Go for the Second Runner.Read full review...

Not because this game has Hideo Kojima's name all over it, is because Kojima's team is one of the best team in the Japanese game design world.
This game is about 5 years old and it really ROCKS! the graphics are excellent! so as the fun factor is great! for the PS2 this game was design to the fullest capabilities of what the PS2 can do.

I recommend this game if you like action and good storyline.
Also remember this story is not a unique story created by the Kojima Team, is pretty much out of a Japanese Anime.

Meant to be collected, not played.

Pros:- Epic innovative fast-paced mech battles.
- Awesome boss battles.
- Awesome sound track.

Cons:- Bad camera Angles!
- TOO short! No, seriously, it's that short
- Repetitive. There's only 3 types of enemies to fight through out the whole game besides the bosses.
- Some missions are thrown at you without enough information which leave you roaming around aimlessly not knowing what to do.
- Boring storyline
- (spoiler alert) Viola took forever to die.

Overall Opinion:
If you haven't played neither of the Zone of the Enders games yet, I'd HIGHLY recommend going with the Sequel (ZONE OF THE ENDERS: THE SECOND RUNNER) either FIRST or ONLY. If you've already played the second runner and want to see how it all started, you're not really missing out on anything. Even if you're only looking to just fill in gaps in the story line. There's almost nothing to fill. Overall, the first Zone of the Enders is more of a game that I would get just to collect. Good Game, but repetitive

Hideo Kojima's games have forever rocked, this is no exception to the rule, even with the repetitive gameplay and the impossible boss at the end, Zone of the Enders is a great game. My main problems with it stem from the repetitive gameplay and the fact that if pursued this game can be beaten in just under 4 hours (I've seen it done). Aside from that the concept is amazing, and the sequel definitely brings the game home. If your looking to play 2nd Runner then I recommend this game, if your looking for a mech game in general I would also recommend this game, however it is not for the average gamer. You must have at least some RPG drive to get through this game.

A Rare Find

Zone of the Enders is one of the first games to be released for the Playstation 2 in 2001.

The Game is short, but has a excellent replay value.
