Dewalt DC970 18 volt Cordless Drill. Works great!

Originally was bidding on two battery packs for my old Dewalt 18 volt drill when I spied this in the remaining hour of another auction. Tossed out a bid and I won. I have the same drill but rather beat up so this was a nice find. I was pleased with the other drill and this one is built just right for me and I like the balance in the hand when using it. Over the years I bought plenty of replacement batteries for my very old Dewalt Hammer-drill. Well my trusty old drill finally bit the dust, with the main drive gear losing its teeth. Since I bought replacement batteries for it just last week, I went back to eBay to look for a replacement. I realized that since I now use an electric Hilti roto hammer drill for all of my concrete drilling, I could replace my old Dewalt with a standard cordless drill. This brand new drill out of a combo set was just the right drill for me. I already had the carrying case, the charger, and a couple of new batteries. So this made perfect sense! When it arrived, I install a new, fully charged battery, and was impressed with the speed and torque. So I now have a brand new drill at about a third of the retail price.

Just what i was looking for.Tryed stores in my area didnt have in stock but could order it for me,YEA RIGHT.So i got on this computer put in dewalt portable drills some how got directed to the e-bay sight ive never used and ther they were.picked 18v half inch chuck,witch i didnt know there was half inch chucks avalble.and order that bad girl.drill kit was deliverd in about three days in manufacurs sealed box.was alittle disapointed at first in the battery BUT i was using a 9inch x half inch drill bit that wasnt the sharpist to drill threw 2x4 studding in my workshop to run electric wiring.I think ill give battery packs a break.Read full review...
