Imax Experience was great!!!!!

I remembered this DVD from when it was new and was all the rage. We did not get to go to see it in IMAX but seeing it today I still feel that we have had
a great experience watching this. It goes into Nascar and shows so many aspects of the sport, the drivers, the pit crews, and people who go to the races. I especially like the recollection of the death of Dale Earnhart-We saw this as it happened and it still doesn't seem real to me. Probably the best documentary film made of Nascar Stock Car Racing, very informative for both fans and non fans of the sport, should be in every Nascar fans library!

I purchased this as a gift for a nascar fan that has just about everything except his own Nascar race car. This dvd is excellent. It shows the history of nascar from the early days of racing on the beach to the tracks of today. It puts you in the car for true action from the high speeds to the crashes without actually hurting you or your hearing. This is a must for any race fan whether an "all or nothing nascar fan" or someone just getting interested.. Even though this was released a few years ago, it is still a pertinent, and informative dvd for any Nascar fan to own. From early inception to close up and personal thoughts of todays drivers. Loaded with lots of tidbits of information I bet even the seasoned Nascar fan doesn't know. Shop around and get a good price, and you'll be glad you bought this one. Drivers........Start Your Engines!!!!!!!

Great movie for the family. My 3-year old son loves it, and asks to watch it at least twice a week. Very informative of behind the scenes things that the NASCAR teams have to do to get ready for each race. The cool camera angles put you right up to and right inside of the cars on Sunday. Excellent movie to hook your DVD player up to the stereo and CRANK IT UP! The only complaint I have for this movie is that it's not very long, I believe it's only like 45 minutes long. But they cram a lot of stuff into that 45 minutes.Read full review...

Terrible DVD video quality and was NOT "3D" as touted

I looked closely to be sure the description specifically stated the DVD was "3D" and confirmed that it was so stated before buying it. However, when I got the DVD it was not 3D and but only 2D of very low resolution / quality -- condsiderably less than even 720p. Like nothing you would expect being associated with an "IMAX" quality production.

It a word -- this particular product was "terrible" and did not conform with its written description touting it as "3D".Read full review...
