Enjoyable Single-Father Movie

Not a lot of movies talk about single dads and this movie does it in a very radical way. Although Jack's character kind of serve's the movie's purpose of portraying a small family living in isolation, the movie's direction is very careful of not falling into gratuity through the unusual father-daughter relationship the protagonists have. The direction is good, the acting is OK, but there are also some silly clichés and hard-to-believe scenes. I only recommend it to people interested in this kind of relationship as a topic. I went and saw Little Miss Sunshine awhile back and the guy who played the son in the movie was incredible. So when I got home I bought all the movies he has ever been in.And The Ballad of Jack & Rose was one of them.
