HINT: before giving up try the easy things first.
I purchased this for a second network drive to hold sharable information for everyone on the network, not as a backup drive. I have a drive to install so purchasing a unit that needed disk repair was not an issue. I installed the TC on the network, reset to factory defaults, configured it to the network, all worked fine.
When AirPort brought up the drive it did report the drive as needing repair. For curiosity's sake I tried a simple reformat of the drive, that was all the "repair" that it needed. It's only a 1TB drive so I will still be replacing it with the spare 2TB drive that I have. Seems strange no one ever tried a reformat of the drive, their loss, my gain.Read full review...
