If you like balls-out racing, this is definately the right game! If you love flatout 1, you may have mixed reviews about 2nd. In flatout 1, the cars handled realistically and was more of a race simulator. Flatout 2 is similar to the "Burn-out" series physics. The tracks are fast and full of action, but are strictly tracks and not a free-roaming enviroment. In flatout 1, you could roam the map and have so much more fun aside from racing whereas in the 2nd, you will be reset after wondering too far off course. I mean, theres a dirt bike track with huge jumps! and you can't even go over there! A factor that the creators did not take notice of. The game is still extremely fun and you have more control of affecting your opponents than you previously had. You can spin them out like you see in cop chases and push them into solid objects. Its almost like the movie "Death Race" when you wreck your opponents and hear their screams as you race away haha. Game play is great! But not the lasting appeal as the first.

Love to Live! Live to Love!
That is the title of just one of the power hitting rock songs on this game. If you love racing sims, you will not want to live without this game. The Flatout series is the only racing sims I play anymore because they are so fun. Crashing the other players is only part of the fun. The game encourages you to do so by giving you points for it. Not only that, but this is an excellent racing game with realistic world cup racing style driving. You diffenetly need a Force feedback racing wheel controler to get the most out of this game.

Best race and smash game out there!!!
I am amazed by the graphics this game provides.
The movement it prety realistic as well.
When you it or crash into object or other cars, parts flies all over the place and the sound track is superb.
I'v been playing the game for 6 months with an handheld device, now, I have a Mingman wheel and I would strongly recommend geting one.Read full review...
Brings out the instinct of a hunter
A fascinating destruction derby, where you can almost do anything without rules.
Pros: very good experience in multiparty, fitting music, nice graphic for 2006 and good simulation of physics
FlatOut 2=Amazing
This is an awesome game that you should definately invest in. Way over the top with plenty of crashes to make even the most vengful person happy. Good graphics and great AI players. A must have.

I wish the product description had made it clear if this was the 5 cd game version (which it was) versus the 1 dvd version (which is the latest 1.1 game version). I really wanted the 1 dvd.

I love "crash and smash" games. This game is difficult to play and requires a GeForce 6200 or better to play it right.A good game to practice with for your drivers exam.

Bought it because I have Flatout 1 and I played it all the time. Now that I have Flaout 2 I think it is an awesome game. I play it online all the time.
