A dependable workhorse

The Samsung SyncMaster 930B is a dependable, affordable LCD that will give you years of dependable performance. I've purchased three of these monitors and they've all lasted without issue for several years. My first monitor I purchased in 2005, and just recently won an auction for one in 2009.. I'm fully satisfied with this model, even though it's now like 4 years old. I bought one to use at work and love it. Clear, bright and sturdy.

Cons: Since this is an older model, it may not be quite as clear as some of the newer models. Resolution tops out at 1280x1024. I believe the refresh rate is relatively low compared to newer models. This unit is best suited to 2D/office work.Read full review...

Good value for the money

This is my first flat screen; my 19" CRT started to breath so I needed a new monitor. I knew I wanted at least a 19". I searched and looked at monitors by all the major manufactures and settled on this one. The instructions didn't mention I would have to reduce the refresh rate first, , before disconnecting the old monitor, but that was easy enough to fix. The quality is good, cost was good. it does very well even for gaming. Also, flat screens have a bigger viewable area then CRT's, so that's just added area.

A fine large monitor

I've used dual Samsung 19" monitors for many years. The image quality is quite good and easy on my old eyes. Bought this one as a spare.

Solid choice for a 19" LCD 4:3

Great value - I've purchased five, so far, along with fifteen Samsung 712N's. Consistent quality and reliability, good color controls, and clean styling. These are great in a business environment, and the price is very agreeable.

The only gripe: Menu and power buttons are not easy to identify (black monitor, black buttons, black labeling).

Samsung SyncMaster 930B LCD flat panel monitor

Purchased this Samsung SyncMaster 930B LCD monitor at a very reasonable price which was a major factor as to why I purchased it. The setup directions were very clear and the monitor display looked great on start up. The only thing that I really had to do was change the resolution setting form what it was from my old crt monitor to the recommended setting for this monitor. The display is great and the colors for the display are very bright. I like the options for setting the display for different types of uses such as games, internet, and text to name a few.The seller shipped the unit promptly and it was well packaged. My personal view of the syncmaster 930b

When my 15 in. monitor died I wanted to go bigger and better, But on a extremely tight budget I bought a 930b used from a merchant on ebay!
It performed amazingly and looked brand new!
I liked it so much I bought a 2nd used 930b although it was dusty and dirty I cleaned it up and it looked brand new! And it to works fantastic so much so I bought a dual dvi card so I now can run both on 1 pc.
If you can find one of these new at a descent price BUY IT!
If you can find a refurbished with a 30-90 day warranty at a descent price buy it and you can buy extended warranties!!!Read full review...

Great for gaming

I bought my LCD purely for gaming purposes. It's perfect for the application: there's no ghosting or lags. There's only one disadvantage that I did not consider. Due to the type of monitor, it is in a strict 1280x1024 resolution. That high of a resolution forced me to make graphical sacrifices to maintain a decent frame rate. The other alternative is the monitor can simulate lower resolutions with obvious downsides.

All in all, I am very satisfied with my purchase. It should last some time, and hey, it only draws 38 watts.Read full review...

Great LCD Screen

This is a wonderful LCD screen. Vibrant colors. I have never had any problems. I liked my first one so much that, when I decided to run dual monitors, I bought this as my second monitor. It has VGA and DVI output, which is nice to have that option. I've never had problems w/ screen tearing or dead pixels. An all around good-quality monitor for an affordable price.Read full review...

Super clear!

The flat screen monitor is much easier on your eyes! Old one used to make my eyes burn after an hour or working or playing on my computer. Tried a flat screen and WOW what a difference! This was a great buy and would definitely recommend it!Read full review...
