Great light show !
I'm using it in my home stereo so I have have fun monitoring the line-level signals through my amp. (NOTE: do not use pre-out (amp level) output from the amp/preamp, just use the rec-out of one of your tape loops for the device's inputs. Completing the loop from the device's output to the play-in is optional.)
The device is very good with high resolution fast-moving peaks moving across
the bars. The dot mode is even better than the bar mode, it makes the monitoring of the source levels easy to watch, especially during recording to your tape deck. Other than that, it's a great show to watch ! Worth buying.Read full review...

I bought this for my home stereo. With so many sources online at so many different output levels. I needed a way to monitor output before it goes through my receiver then subsequently blow my speakers. This little unit does exactly that. It has 2 display settings, bar and dot. If you want a nice light show use bar. I prefered the dot which is 4 leds blinking instead of 40. Being able to see and then adjust level of input is nice.Read full review...

Real nice audio level display. Visual is perfect, tri-color LED's make it good not just for studio and recording level monitoring, but for live performance.
I put the first one in a vintage 2ch stereo system in my den. Going to pick up a couple more of them for the studio system and one for the live Pro DJ system.
These things have 80 LED displays, 40 LED's per channel. Large bright LED's spread across a 12.5" wide display face.
