The Perfect Storm
This is a movie that makes you ask yourself.....why? Why do people go through that much danger to make a living? The screenplay is okay, could use a bit more work. Relationships didn't have enough time to grow during the movie. A lot of time is spent on images of the boat and ocean. A lot of info crammed into a short period of time. The movie would have been better with more concentration on relationships between the men and their women, the men and their co-workers.

Amazing Cinematography
A powerful film based on a true incident.
Fishing boat captain Billy Tyne (George Clooney) has had a disappointing season and at season's end, he knows he and his crew can only make some decent money if they venture out further than they've ever gone before -- to the Flemish Cap -- in their boat, the Andrea Gail.
Diane Lane plays another captain and Billy Tyne's closest friend. John C. Riley and Mark Wahlberg play two of the crew members on Tyne's boat.
Amazing cinematography and special effects. Be sure to watch the bonus material on the DVD for more info on how the effects were accomplished.

The Perfect Storn HD DVD
This movie was great on regular tv and we owned it on VHS. How can you not buy it for HD DVD. Looking forward to seeing it on flat screen with the HD. I love this movie. It's well written and well filmed. It has some amazing scenes, and with George Clooney, and Mark Wohlberg, as well as more in this great cast, it's definately worth owning.Read full review...
Good overall mvie.
The movie has plenty of good special effects and that fact that it is based on a true story helps keep you watching. Good solid cast of actors and directing.

the perfect strom
This hd dvd would not play in my dvd . And so i had get another one in places of it.Its hard watch something that don't fit your machine. Other than that It is good movie.

imagine the most perfect of storms and multiply it by 50 000. then add marky mark and george cloony to the mix and you get this huge wave of excitement. until things start to get out of controll
