I have not yet been able to vet the device hooked up to use. There being no remote control makes a number of performances impossible so this review is not a real one. THE ONLY REASON I HAVE DONE THIS IS BECAUSE THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET THE REVIEWS I DO HAVE TO GO THROUGH EVERY ITEM LISTED HAS TO HAVE A REZIEW. Favorable review of the PV-D4745S

A very nice unit. The image quality is good for both VHS and DVD. I do not think the remote is a Panasonic remote, but it appears to be fully functional and works very well. The fact that it may not be a Panasonic remote is irrelevant. One feature I really like is that the unit does not draw any power until it is turned on. At first I thought the unit did not start the DVD movie where it was when I turned off the unit. As it turns out, it is a matter of pressing the right buttons on the remote. If I press the Power button, the DVD starts from the very beginning. If I press the Play button, the movie starts up where it was when the unit was turned off.
