Grand Theft Auto....???

This was a great game to play and I only paid 5.95 for it!
PROS- Decent graphics, great weapons, can drive tons of various vehicles. great cheats!
Reminds me a lot of a cheap version of GTA, addicting play.

CONS- Not much of story, graphics are sub par, stupid enemies, glitches happen a lot/freezing, can not interact with anything in the game world.

I would play this game all the time as a kid and i loved it. The game is super fun but the graphics arent as good as i remeber.

Good old fashion blowing stuff up.

This game does exactly what it promises... Blowing stuff up. The game has an environment where nothing is safe from your will. You can call in massive air strikes destroying large oil rigs, or you can run into an enemy fortress like Rambo and shoot them all down.

The pros:

-Fully destructible environments
-A large variety of weapons
-Tons of customized vehicles

The cons:

-Driving controls don't utilize the triggers, instead you're limited to the X, Square, circle, and triangle buttons.
-There isn't really a stealth element, you can't really sneak into enemy bases without getting noticed instantly.

Overall, this game delivers what it promised, and will be fun to anybody who has played the original, or anyone who enjoys shooting up large groups of people. It has a decent sense of humor portrayed by the characters that will give you a good laugh or two. I'd recommend this to any fan of the genre.Read full review...

Mercs 2

Combat is very similar to the original game. Graphics and # of vehicles has improved.

AI for the passengers is bad. They seem to only shoot one volley at the enemy. In Mercs 1 you can direct them to shoot where you want. Plus, in MERCS you can leave the vehicle while your passengers remain manning the MG's. In MERCS 2, I don't see this feature.

7.5 is a fair rating for the game. Lots of replayability. Shoot what you want!! Plus, it has added some weapons "training" for hard to use weapons.

A very fun war game.

The Ps2 version is a lot of fun and this ps3 version has better graphics,but not stockpiling of vehicles like the Ps2 does(example you find a nice heavy tank but cannot drive it into your garage to save it).Also the simple ammo case in the Ps2 version reloads any of your carry weapons,but in the Ps3 if you carry a RPG or grenade launcher it is hard to find a less common ammo case that reloads those.The company that made this is Pandemic the company that also made the Star wars Battlefront games.Very addictive with all the vehicles,weapons,outfits and missions to unlock.Too many late nights playing this.Too bad this does not have splitscreen 2player local play like the battlefront games.Read full review...

Mercenaries 2 review

This game is either going to be a very very exciting fun game or a nasius headache for me it was the headache.It starts out fun but then so many things start to pile on and it gets overwelming and not knowing when to go and dieing constantly leaves the game in a dark space in your collection.If you love explosions and grappling helicopters and stuff like that this game is for you.The coop feature for online only is fun only if they know how to play because if they dont its an even bigger headache since you have to stay within 500 meters of each other.The story 7/10(nothing speciel and very predicable),the sound 8.5/10(nice and relisitc)graphics 8/10(really good but not great)fun factor 7.5/10(depends to much to make it accurate)over all 7.5/10Read full review...

Really Good Game...Minor flaws...read review...trust me!!!!!

READ THIS BEFORE PLAYING....TRUST ME!!!! really good game...make sure you disable your internet connection before you start playing because the game will try to connect to EA servers for online play....those servers dont service this game anymore and will try till the end of time if you let it....trust me this will save you alot of time i tried everything to get around it and checked so many places....just stick to the story mode because online play wont work anymore and the game will freeze and not let you do anything until you reset and disable internet connection....then you'll be fine....other then that like i said really good game....its extremely hard to find a third person shooter of this caliber....only other i would recommend is freedom fighters for ps2....the support options for weapons drops and ordinance etc could be a little better configured....little hard to scroll down a menu for an air strike when people are shooting at you and you might throw the smoke grenade marker in the wrong place if your not facing the right direction when you select what you want for support.....hope this was useful...have funRead full review...

Mercs 2

I thought this would be a late summer blockbuster to fill the void before the fall onslaught of games. I was wrong.

Good points - Firstly this game is well made. It looks good, controls fairly well and has a lot going on. It's a lot like GTA4 in the respect that you can go do which missions you like whenever or if you just feel like going around town blowing things up, you can also do that.

Bad points - Unlike GTA4 there is nothing that resembles a decent story here. So there's nothing to push me to want to finish this game seeing as I don't have to do missions to blow stuff up. Also while this game does offer online co-op, it does not offer offline co-op. Big no no as is no online multiplayer.

Final thoughts - It's not a bad game, just nothing amazing. You could call it a poor mans GTA4. That said if you liked the first Mercs then this will be right up your ally.

Great game, weird bug.

The game itself is excellent. Everything you do effects your outside environment. However, there's a very obnoxious bug. I haven't played very many games, and my online play freezes since there is not a way to 'accept terms' and EA doesn't want you online unless you do. So to get around this, I had to buy another earlier game from the same company that had agreements that I could accept, then it let me online. Awesome! lots of variety

This game has tons of action and adventure if your a fan of the grand theft auto games then ull love this game its alot like that with a military twist u can do missions and progress through the game or just wonder around the huge world finding spare parts to build exotic vehicles of all kinds with or search for huge stacks of money for profit, weapons, vehicles, etc. or search for ammunition's for airstrikes, artillery strikes, guided strikes, etc. or if you want you can just roam around destroying buildings, vehicles, and pretty much anything and everything the game has a lot of options for 'things to do' other then just the story line this is great game worth hours of fun i highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of purchasing it but if your unsure as too if you want it or not check out the demo on the playstation network for free then decide :)Read full review...
