Has a little bit too much treble in it but otherwise it sounds good and works good

Expensive doesn't mean better.

I have a vintage ts9. This comes crazy close for 1/10th the price.
Is there a difference? Yes... In the studio, but out on a gig, not enough to risk an expensive pedal.
That being said. I've used it for lots of tracks. It's just a good sounding overdrive.
