1 album & 03 "All Time" Country Music Legends! Amazing!

Well, as the very title of the album depicts this is but the best-est(!) coming together of good ol' country music's 03 all time great nay "Legendary" singers, songwriters to cut an album for all us country music(which sincerely is 3-strings and the truth, id say!) lovers to listen, view and enjoy now in it's DVD format!
Watching 'em Legends sing 'live' in concert has more than expected of the 'desired' effect of 'em songs tugging at one's heart strings with their lyrics! The journeys, the struggles, the love, the longing for the near and dear ones is all but evident -which is but the very 'root' of this humble country music worldwide -from Australia to cowboy country Texas and beyond, i'd say!

With only Willie (of the three) surviving as of this writing, “Last of the Breed” is an accurate description for sure.

Great show!
I first saw “Last of the Breed” on a PBS fundraiser, so there were many interruptions, some which promoted this live concert DVD.
I wanted to see it w/o the interruptions and parts I had missed.
If you like old school Country Music, this DVD delivers!

Excellent DVD for the fan of traditional country music!

This DVD is in HD picture and sound and both are awesome on our system! If you are a lover of traditional country music, you will not be disappointed! This program features three of the best!

However, I bought this DVD thinking it might be a little more upbeat. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Many of the selections almost put me to sleep. But this is still a good bet for the older country music fan who loves the tradional stuff.

A small comment: High Definition photography is not kind to these older performers, it shows up the bags under the eyes, the craggy features and scrawny necks! (I look just as bad!)Read full review...

Do I think Willie is still a legend?

Here's the deal folks. Ray sang for too long in his set, Waylon was a little off-style personality wise, in other words, I don't think he cared if he was there or not and lastly Willie looked wore out.
But here's the good news. Ray Price still has a golden voice that will make a heart race. Asleep At The Wheel were fantastic. Waylon Jennings sounds just as good as he did 25 years ago. Willie Nelson sang a great choice of songs and of course had all the guests sing and play along. Willie Nelson is a legend. Based on this show, it doesn't look like he will lose that title any time soon.Read full review...

A great DVD tribute to Country Music

This DVD was purchased to replace the TV concert that I had recorded. The DVD includes
songs that were edited out in the TV version. That means that not only does it replace
my recorded version but it inlcudes several added bonuses. The quality of sound and video

Last of the Breed

If you like the older country music, you will love this CD. It is a live stage show with great performances and close-ups of the band members playing their instruments. The collaborations were great. This is probably the only time you will see all these artists together in one concert and performing together at a live show. Ray Price was especially good as was the collaboration with Asleep At The Wheel with the others. Willie, of course, ended the show but his influence can be seen throughout the show. Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Ray Price Live In Concert

Great dvd, a must have if you are a fan of Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Willie Nelson, or Asleep at the Wheel. Great quality video and the Dolby Surround Sound is way above average. If more of the musical dvd's were made with this kind of attention to quality, you wouldn't see many negative reviews. Nice mellow DVD!!!!!

Would have given it a five but Ray Price sang a little to long for me. Haggard and Willie were just great!!!! All live music in a concert setting!!! This is a dvd i put in to watch when i go to bed at night. I just put it to seen 9 cause that is when Ray Price is done and Haggard starts. This is more of Willies slower songs. If you just want Willie i would get Willie Nelson live at Billy Bobs over this dvd. But this is the one you want if you are a fan of both Haggard and Nelson!!!Read full review...
