Just Okay. I wouldn’t Buy it Again!

I’ve played this game once since I got it and so far it seems just okay. It’s really not that easy to control the airplane, and I’m a captain on a Cessna Citation Excel....! The graphics are pretty good for the time that this game was made. I would not recommend this game if you are looking to get something to have a lot of fun right out of the box. Stick to something that you can use a yoke and rudder peddles with for a more realistic experience!Read full review...

Great game and really cool.

Great game! All of the missions are based from history (good idea) the amount of enemies you face for each mission is realistic (instead of rambo kills 1,000 men by himself) the only thing that I did not care for was that there is no 1st person (in the cocpit) view. and there are some arobatics that you can not perform manually. But other than that it is a realy cool game. Good enough that my ex-AirForce Dad liked it enough that we played it till midnight one time. If you can understand that you can only reproduce so much realizm with a computer and if you like to fly and blow things up then I would recomend this game. If you like to complain about what an experianced game producer did not do that you think you can do better. then don't bother. I give a 4 star just cuz there is a few things that I don't like, but it is still great and a lot of fun. It also has a two player mode that is a blast. If you ask me, I say git it and have fun!Read full review...

A Very Cool Game

WWII Aces is a very cool game. I bought it beasause I love old WWII aircraft, and wanted to try a flight simulator game to see what it would or might be like to fly them. If your looking for half decent graphics, but not something that looks 100% lifelike, like your really there, you'll like the graphics. The planes choices are very good, but they made a big mistake in not having an American Squadron, and allowing us to fly P-51's, B24's, and maybe some F-4's. You get to choose your country, Russia, Brittian, or Germany. I love to fly the Brittish Spitfire or the German ME-109. Handling of the aircraft is very easy with the Wii standard controller. It will take a little practice, but the plane reacts very realisticly, and in an expeced manner. I highly recommend you set this game up on a TV that the sound is fed through a Home Theatre system and crank it up! When them bombs hit they shake the house, and the bigger the target, the better. As a player you can go right to a mission or you can choose to engage in a dogfight. I prefer the dogfight myself. You have three different types of dogfight simulations. Timed, where you select the maximum number of opponents you will ever confront, and you have a set amount of time to keep taking them out. Master of the Sky, where you select the number of your opponents, and when you shoot them all down the fight ends. Do or Die, where you keep fighting until you either get shot down or decide to leave the battle. You can also choose Hard, Normal, and Easy difficulty settings. During a dogfight, you can bomb towns and factories, and military installations, and make one heck of a racket, but you get no points for them. Missions even on easy I find are very difficult. The second mission on easy took me and another seasoned player four tries to get. We're still working on mission three. That degree of difficulty I would expect in like mission 12 of 15 or something. Thats a big too hard and takes away from the game. I would recommend this game, and expecially recommend it over Blazing Angels which is extremely difficuly and poorly designed.Read full review...

Great title and picture, it attracted me to the game.

It is a very good game. I bought it for my grandson, and he absolutely loves it. I play it with him and it gives us something we both look forward to doing. The only thing I don't like is when it is set for "easy" it is still pretty hard. I don't think we will ever get to the "hard" mode. Still, it is a great game and very realistic. I would buy it again.Read full review...

Very nice game. I am actually somewhat good at this one

I set it on control configuration 2 because using the nunchuk is more realistic than trying to use the remote to control your plane. I had a private pilot license when I was a young man, and I can tell you that this is the most true to live game with regards to the way that the aircraft responds to your control movements. I really enjoy this game. and I'm sure I will for a long time to come. I'm normally not good at video games, but this one I seem to be adequate at, and I'm sure that with a little practice, I'll be doing great. You will not be disappointed with this one. A real winner.Read full review...

Great Simulator

Controlling the plane is a little tricky, and hitting a target is difficult, because you're moving around and in most cases the target is also moving around, but the realism is fantastic, and the scenarios provide a wide variety of combat situations. A great game if you're willing to spend some time learning how to fly the plane.Read full review...

WWII Aces (Wii, 2008)

Wii Game bought as Christmas gift...appears to be full of action on a demanding level, which the receiver will enjoy. Will be brain stimulating...and sharpen hand, eye coordination. Receiver can relate to time frame of game, and that will make it even more interesting. Am anxious to watch actions of user on Christmas day. Great working with seller.Read full review...

WWII Aces (Wii, 2008)

I bought it for myself to play on my sons WWii, after I played it I felt it was ok for him to play. The only complaint I have about the game is the campaign modes are extremely difficult...I can't get past two levels. Why are there no American Planes?? Overall, I like the game, there some dog fight areas where you don't have 50 planes and 2 u-boats trying to take out your fleet. I like the gameRead full review...

Great game, whole family can play

Easy enough my 6 year old and I can play two player and have a blast. Tough enough to give me a real challenge in single player mode. Instinctive controls, fair graphics, great sound.
